Skin tags, although usually harmless, can be an indication of something serious, or can just be annoying. Use apple cider vinegar to easily remove these tags.
Skin tags are those fleshy little bubble extensions on your skin, which are medically known as ‘acrochorda’. These little skin growths are usually a sign of diabetes, on a more serious level. But they can also occur among those who are obese or overweight. On a less severe note, it can also occur as a result of friction or rubbing. The areas where they usually occur are on face, neck, armpits, chest and around the groin.
Although they are considered harmless themselves, in a handful of cases, they may be a strong indicator of a more serious condition, disease, or ailment, which requires immediate medical attention (especially if you see more than one!)
Just like your warts, pimples, and moles, they are one of those foreign bodies that are seen as aesthetically annoying hindrances. However, Dr. Doug Willen explains that you can get rid of skin tags easily at home using something that most of us have in our kitchen cabinets or pantries.
That magical remedy is Apple Cider Vinegar or ACV!

…and other skin issues.
How To Use ACV For Skin Tags?
- 2 tbsps of apple cider vinegar
- 1 cotton ball
Directions
- Clean the skin tag affected area properly with soap and water.
- Pat the skin dry with a clean hand towel.
- Soak a cotton ball in the ACV.
- Squeeze it to remove excessive vinegar just so it is a little damp.
- Apply the soaked cotton on your skin tags.
- Repeat this process about 2–3 times a day.
You can also squeeze the cotton ball over the skin tag so that it is nicely saturated with the vinegar. Since apple cider vinegar is acidic in nature, do prepare yourself for a mild itching or burning sensation. If the itching or burning is beyond your tolerance of pain, then try diluting the vinegar with a few drops of water.
Although it takes about a week, the skin tags will gradually lose their color and fall off. This does however depend on the size and type of the skin tag, so do be patient!
